Introduction
Hello :)
Welcome to my blog for Conexiones Ecuador 2018! I cannot wait to get to know everyone and explore a new country together. So about me: I am 20 years old and I was born and raised in Albuquerque. I just finished my junior year at UNM and I'm studying to be a speech-language pathologist (speech therapist). I live with my parents and our three dogs. I am patient, observant, quiet, obsessed with babies and dogs, and I love country music.
I am excited to practice my Spanish. My parents and grandparents are fluent but never taught me growing up. I can listen to a conversation in Spanish and usually get the gist of it, but I have a much harder time speaking it myself. Besides that, I am most excited to experience and be part of a culture that is totally new to me. I am a bit worried I will forget something important (even though I'm not a forgetful person) when we leave or when we come back. Also, I'm nervous about adjusting to a place that's not home, but hopefully I can find something that reminds me of home so I can be comfortable.
Here goes nothing. . . see you all in South America!!
